Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Event Vault website and service operated by Event Vault (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Event Vault, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Event Vault provides a platform for creating private event pages where guests can submit video, audio, photo, and text messages. Hosts manage their event vaults, guest lists, ticketing, and monetary gift collection through the platform.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to host an event on Event Vault. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Guests do not need accounts to submit messages.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Event Vault, including media, text, and other materials. By submitting content, you grant Event Vault a limited license to store, process, and display that content as necessary to operate the service.

As a host, you are responsible for the content submitted to your event vault. You agree not to use the service for content that is illegal, harassing, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law, and to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in such activity.

5. Pricing and Payments

Event Vault offers Capture, Celebrate ($79), and Preserve ($149) tiers, charged as a one-time fee per event. Prices are subject to change with notice. Payments are processed through Stripe.

Refunds: Because tier upgrades are one-time purchases tied to a specific event, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@eventvaultapp.com within 14 days of purchase if you believe a refund is warranted.

6. Ticketing and Monetary Gift Collection

Event Vault facilitates ticket sales and monetary gift collection on behalf of hosts. Funds collected through the platform are transferred to hosts via Stripe Connect, subject to applicable processing fees and platform fees as described in the pricing section of our website.

Platform fees vary by tier: Capture tier (10% app fee), Celebrate tier (7% app fee), and Preserve tier (5% app fee + 2% host reward). Payouts are processed according to Stripe's standard payout schedule. Disputed transactions are subject to Stripe's dispute resolution process.

7. Privacy

Your use of Event Vault is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Intellectual Property

The Event Vault name, logo, Vinny character, and service design are the property of Event Vault. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Event Vault is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page. Upon termination, your event vaults and associated content will be permanently deleted in accordance with our data retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
